Silicon Metal Raw Material: Gansu Silicon Coal Prices Decline [SMM Silicon Daily Review]

SMM March 17 News: Silicon prices in east China slightly weakened for certain grades. Standard #553 silicon was priced at 10,300-10,400 yuan/mt, while above-standard #553 silicon was at 10,300-10,500 yuan/mt. #441 silicon was priced at 10,600-10,800 yuan/mt, with the average price down by 100 yuan/mt. Under the weak silicon metal market, silicon coal prices in certain regions also declined. Recently, silicon coal prices in Gansu dropped by 60 yuan/mt. The price decline this time was mainly due to the weak downstream silicon metal market and low demand from manufacturers, in addition to the earlier price cuts in Ningxia's silicon coal. After the adjustment, mixed coal prices in Gansu were at 1,040 yuan/mt, and granular coal prices were at 1,200 yuan/mt.
